Julie Royer holds a certificate in visual arts, a bachelor's degree, and a master's degree in literary studies. For twenty-three years, she has gone wherever she is invited, in the guise of Gribouille Bouille, to introduce children to reading. Passionate about the stage (she loves to sing), television, and literature, she writes books for children and adults. She also writes and co-hosts Gribouille Bouille, a show broadcast on TVCOGECO. In 2014, she released a CD entitled Gribouille Bouille: Chansons. In 2014, her text Pinceau won her the Grand Prix du livre de la Montérégie, Toddlers category. In 2015, she won second prize at the Grand Prix du livre de la Montérégie, Toddlers category, with Le théâtre du grand balai.
