The crime of the Odéon an investigation by Léandre Lafforgue

Let the show begin! In November 1851, as the darkest predictions were being made about French politics, as it was unclear who would inherit the presidential office during the following year, Léandre Lafforgue, alias "Le Goupil," was actually thinking more about his budding career as a playwright than about the future of the country. But as soon as the curtain fell on the first performance of his play at the Odéon, a crime of passion perpetrated in the theater put the future of his work on hold. And since misfortunes never come alone, to silence any possible rumors, Prince-President Bonaparte tasked the two latest recruits of the Noble Court with leading the investigation... and this in place of Le Goupil! While a secret plot is being hatched to change the course of history, fake gold coins are appearing here and there in Paris, the police are finding stripped and abandoned bodies in the shadow of the city walls; if we add to this the presence of a novelist likely to make his heart a fire for the first time, can Léandre manage to see clearly in this chaos without getting completely lost?
