In this novel, we find Captain Gabriel Saint Régent, alias Gabriel Sunny, an officer of the BSI (Secret Intervention Bureau), is detained against his will in the Middle East. Following his release, he must identify a group of leaders piloting a corrupt system within the global pharmaceutical industry. Gathering an elite military commando, he begins to identify the man who gave him a USB key containing a list of names associated with amounts consisting of tens of millions of euros intended to corrupt various ethics committees and numerous ministerial decision-makers. Tormented by the vagaries of his relationship with Lilie but prioritizing his role within the BSI, Captain Sunny uses fictitious identities to reach certain senior executives of international firms. His mission, codenamed "Hippocrates", confronts him with paramilitary units composed of lawless mercenaries, paid to ensure the security of large international laboratories. From Paris to Porto-Vecchio, via Zurich, Tokyo, Oman, to finally land in Dallas, the Captain has only twenty days to complete his mission or risk being disavowed by his superiors.
