Who is Sersi, Character History?
Circe belongs to the fourth generation of the Eternals. Daughter of Helios and Perse, she was born after the Cataclysm that engulfed Atlantis and Lemuria, at the end of an interminable ice age. From her earliest years—although she was already several millennia old—she felt an irresistible attraction to humanity. Thus, in Mesopotamia, during a journey through time, she crossed paths with Captain America.
Later, guided by her curiosity, she settled in ancient Greece: it was there, at the heart of her adventures, that the poet Homer drew the inspiration for his Odyssey. Her steps then led her to Rome, during the tumultuous reign of Nero, and then to Camelot, where she forged a deep friendship with the legendary Merlin. Over the centuries, she shared a passionate and secret relationship with the Eternal Makkari.
At the dawn of the 20th century, Circe adopts a hedonistic lifestyle in the United States, refusing to join the great assemblies of the Eternals. To force her to participate, Delphi and Domo do not hesitate to drag her along despite her… This is how she meets the Wasp and Starfox (nephew of Zuras and Eternal of Titan). When the other Eternals choose exile in space, Circe, faithful to her independence, decides to remain on Earth, true to her passions and her convictions.
