Divorce and parental separation have become commonplace. They involve several actors, including, first and foremost, parents and children. When divorced fathers are mentioned in many books and articles, it is often to discuss their absence, their deficiency, or the non-payment of child support. This book restores the balance by studying the separated father as a person. We will discover men with feelings, difficulties, and a sense of duty towards their children; we will see them struggle with power mechanisms where they do not always get their way and refuse to be considered solely as providers. The author, himself divorced, does not deny his personal involvement and his desire to make the situation of separated fathers known to the general public. However, it is above all the researcher's approach that guides us in this work.
