There are approximately 500 forms of dwarfism in the world and this condition affects nearly 4,000 people in Quebec and more than 50,000 people in France. Each cause of dwarfism has specific after-effects, but they all have one thing in common: significant consequences on the physical health, daily life and social participation of those affected. Living with dwarfism is quite a challenge.
