Atelier bois takes you into the workshops of craftsmen working according to the rules of the art. You will discover three of the most creative traditional trades: cabinetmaking, turning and marquetry. They introduce you to the beautiful profession of restoration which, demanding ingenuity and impeccable technique, summarises them all. Favoring the image, Atelier bois has more than a thousand illustrations, mainly photographs. The texts are brief and go to the essentials. Each of the sixteen projects, simple or more ambitious, insists more on a few particular techniques: assemblies, veneer, finishes... The explanations divided into many steps, like a film, will help you to organize yourself, to visualize the right gestures and to think about the details that make the difference.
