A versatile artist from Liège, Fernand Flausch (1948-2013) graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, where he was, among other things, a screen printing teacher. From his first works, Flausch actively broke down the barriers between artistic genres (comics, painting, neon, etc.). He also encouraged the inclusion of works in our daily environment (the monumental sculpture "The Death of the Automobile" at the Musée en Plein Air du Sart-Tilman), the creation of street furniture (notably that of Place Saint-Lambert in Liège), the creation of neon lights and the stained glass window of the Churchill cinema, and the creation of luminous plexiglass frescoes at the Ribaucourt metro station in Brussels.
