Pierre Barouh - The Art of Meetings DVD + CD
Pierre Barouh - The Art of Meetings DVD + CD
Film by Christian Argentino and Marie-Laure Désidéri
Synopsis
Pierre Barouh is the author of many songs, but it is with the one from Claude Lelouch's film "A Man and a Woman" that he achieved fame. The film follows him to Vendée where, as a small Jewish child, he was hidden during the war. The Vendée countryside was also for him a source of inspiration for songs like "La bicyclette" or "Les ronds dans l'eau". We followed him to Tokyo, another of his home ports, for the 50th anniversary of his label, Saravah. During the filming, Pierre shared his film archives with us, and told us about Higelin and Fontaine in their early days, Jean-Roger Caussimon, and many others.
