7 Prophets: An Analysis of the Global Crisis -Alexandre Dianine-Havard
Used book in very good condition
The book presents seven prophets: three of them, Descartes, Rousseau and Nietzsche, announce great upheavals caused or encouraged by the ideas they convey; four others, Pascal, Kierkegaard, Dostoevsky and Soloviev reveal the same troubles to us but by offering us the means to overcome them. Surprisingly topical, each in his own way and with his own charisma enlightens us, inspires us and incites us to action. The reader is thus strongly encouraged to enter these prophetic minds if he truly wishes to grasp the essence and origin of the various current problems.
A law graduate of the Université René Descartes (Paris V), Alexandre Dianine-Havard practiced as a lawyer in Strasbourg and Helsinki. He created the Virtuous Leadership system (www.hvli.org). The Virtuous Leadership Institute is a community of specialists from the most diverse sectors who together lead an international movement whose objective is to train a new generation of virtuous leaders capable of transforming the world. Alexandre Dianine-Havard is also the author of: From Temperament to Character, Free Hearts, Created for Greatness, Virtuous Leadership.
To grow by making others grow is what leadership is. The manager makes things happen; the leader makes people happen. By elevating others, the leader elevates himself. The essence of leadership is magnanimity (the habit of reaching for great things) and humility (the habit of serving others).
True greatness is the growth of men, not the conquest of an empire. Leadership is not a question of rank or hierarchy: it is a disposition of being. Leadership is not reserved for an elite: it is the vocation of the multitude.
Our vision of leadership corresponds to the most authentic demands of human nature and the noblest aspirations of the human heart.
